[+] Strengths & Highlights
The story and the characters. This anime is use as an example by certain people that it is the closest thing to everyday life as a highschool student in Japan. Just everyday life with ups, downs and little quirks.
[-] Vulnerabilities & Flaws
The animation could have been better but the story and character make up for that. Another thing is the ending of the series. I'll try not to explain it with out spoiling. The ending is that way because they ran out of manga and the manga was still in progress. So no more story no more eps.

📖 Overview

This is about a girl who likes to show off. She like to be the best at everything because she lives for the praise of the people.

🎬 Storyline & Narrative

This is about a girl who likes to show off. She like to be the best at everything because she lives for the praise of the school. Her name is Yukino Miyazawa. Her world of praise and love was compleat joy untill Soichiro Arima shows up. Who is smarter, faster and stronger than Miyazawa-kun. So all her love and praise went to him. So Miyazawa does not lay down and die! She fights back to get whats hers. When she does that a twist of love shows up and open her eyes.

👥 Characters & Dynamics

Yukino Miyazawa: Main character living for the praise and love of life and only settles for the best!

Soichiro Arima: The nice, smart, strong guy who ruins it for Miyazawa. Also the love interest of Miyazawa.

There are other characters but there are alot I suggest you just watch the anime if you can get it. They are all great and closest thing to a Japanese person other than knowing one.

🎨 Animation & Visual Direction

The quality of the anime is ok. This anime is pretty old and its fan subbed in rm ;-;. Not released in America. So I can't say much of the animation of this anime because i can't see it at its best. All I can say is that its and a little bit scratchy

🎵 Voice Acting & Soundtrack

The voice acting is good all the emotions are put in place with the voice. Yelling and crying and loving.

🔴 What We Disliked: The animation could have been better but the story and character make up for that. Another thing is the ending of the series. I'll try not to explain it with out spoiling. The ending is that way because they ran out of manga and the manga was still in progress. So no more story no more eps.
💬 Early-2000s Fandom Pulse Community Rating: ★ 4.5/5 (4 historical responses)
• Community Praise: I really loved this anime and I think you've reviewed it really well. Good job. • I can understand the reviewer's take on the animation. I've seen a high quality vhs fansub (very good picture quality) and I've also seen some .rm and .avi files that suffered from scratchy picture quality. My biggest gripe w/ the irc fansubbed files was the size and type of font used for the subtitles. It's HUGE! The vhs version I saw was more rounded and smaller...it fit the characters better, young high school kids. I don't think big blocky letters should ever be used in subtitles unless it's depicting robot/computer speech. I agree w/ the reviewer in that the ending of the anime is disappointing. It ends very abruptly. However, the manga continues (even to this day) and it is superb! Definitely, get your hands on the manga if you can. One thing the reviewer forgot to mention was the humor in the story. There's romance, humor, and good character development in the show (even better in the manga). This is one of my favorites.
• Contentious Points: Just a few desribing words cannot satisfy us, add some comments and feedback...hahah i guess i'm not a good review's reviewer...
