📖 Overview

Every so often, something comes along that just doesn't strike you right. An anime series that just doesn't work. Cyber Team in Akihabara is one of those series, although it isn't nearly as bad as it could be. Starting with a confusing, eerily familiar premise and taking it to ridiculous extremes, this series doesn't seem to know when to quit. It introduces plot point after plot point, continuing to add in ingredients from other shows, and a few original ones, until it turns into a big mish-mash of well-intended but poorly executed ideas. You'll find yourself wishing they'd gone further with one concept but stopped short on another one, and some of them you'll wish had never been conceived in the first place

🎬 Storyline & Narrative

Hibari, a normal high school student, is smitten with the latest craze to hit Akihabara. Patapi, an artificially created intelligent life form, is all the rage at her school. Students teach their Patapi to jump, fight, and talk. Hibari has mysterious dreams of a boy on a hill & upon finding this hill, a Patapi descends from the sky, into her possession. All is well until it's revealed that Hibari's Patapi can summon the warrior Deva, sent down from the heavens to defeat Blood Falcon, an evil sorceress with wicked ambitions. Hibari slowly discovers her fate, and it's connection to the mysterious Patapi that was handed down to her.

👥 Characters & Dynamics

The characters, they're okay. I like Subome because she's quiet and she has a unique Patapi. Also Hibari and the others especially the prince. He's so cute.

🎨 Animation & Visual Direction

The animation is okay and nice. Nothing to worry about. But for the boob lady, yuck.

🎵 Voice Acting & Soundtrack

The voice acting is okay. Also the voice of the patapis.

🔴 What We Disliked: I don't like the boob lady. She's too nasty.
💬 Early-2000s Fandom Pulse Community Rating: ★ 4.7/5 (7 historical responses)
• Community Praise: i think you gave the anime good scores because for me the story is a little boring, but after all i like the anime. cya • This is a really great, cool and very original.but...I would like that in the cartoon would be more tuff enemies and strong but anyway I love this cartoon,is my favorite!!!!!!!.
• Contentious Points: I´ve seen 4 episodes i think they are cool but a liitle to "hard" for girls in junior high school (this anime is made for them) they go to the extremes (the kinky old man and the stupid patapies crying)
