Detective Conan

This series is a sort of mystery one with differant cases to be solved every episode. A young boy solves the cases while he searches for the crimnals who turned him into a kid by giving him some unknown poison and now in order to get back to his real self.

Shinichi Kudou is a high school student who gets recongnized for the many mysteries he has solved. One day while prusuing some criminals he was knocked out and given an unknown poison which was intended to take his life, instead the poison somehow managed to shrink him back to boyhood. Using the name Conan Edogawa, Shinichi decides to go and stay at his girlfriend's place because her father is private detective. That way he will be able to track down the criminals and solve cases along the way. A different mystery every episode. I like the brain rattling part of mysteries so I kinda like this anime and find it good.

Shinichi Kuduo - A 17 year old high school student who's known for solving mysteries and helping the police out with them hence making him famous and well known as the 'high school detective'. He lives in a big house all alone since his parents have moved to Los angles.
Conan Edogawa - The child form of shinichi. Shinishi decided to call himself this name and poses as Dr. Agasa's distant relative.
Ran Mouri - Shinichi's childhood friend and classmate. She secretly likes shinichi and worries about him during his absence. She takes care of the household and cooks for her father and Conan.
Kogoro Murai - Ran's father an ex police man that is now a private detective. He was incompetent till Conan started solving the mysteries for him and letting him take all credit for them.
Inspector Megure - He is detective on the police Force that used to relay ion shinichi but now with his dissapearance he turned to Kogoro, whom he thought was a lazy good for nothing before.
Dr. Agasa - Shinichi's neighbor and somewhat advisor. He is the one who invented all the cool gadgets Conan uses whenever in trouble.
There are many more characters but these are probably the main ones at appear mostly throughout the series.

The animation in my opinion is good.

watched a dubbed version and it wasn't bad really, frankly i thought it was fine though i'd love to hear the orginal if i get the chance.
