[+] Strengths & Highlights
I loved Lain's computer(modified version) it grows like a human as the series goes on it just gets bigger and more advanced. Aslo I was totally captivated by Lain herself, she resembles so much out of us it was easy to relate with her, and the story for that matter. You'll see once you watch it.
[-] Vulnerabilities & Flaws
The only thing I found disappointing from this was it was too short. 13 episodes was enough to do the series and I fear if they would of pulled it out any longer it would of begun to become boring and strung out. I want more Lain but they did the right thing killing it at 13 eps for the wrap up..Bravo

Modern Consensus: Once viewed as an enigmatic niche curiosity, modern criticism reveres Lain as an extraordinarily prophetic exploration of the internet age.

📖 Overview

A strange series. If people can get past the fact that this is not going to be a shoot em up, slash and gash anime, then they're going to love it. Other wise check exit to the left.

🎬 Storyline & Narrative

The story follows an 8th grader named Lain. Not a very popular girl in school she only has one friend, Arisu. She starts to get interested in the wired (ie internet) and is pulled into some type of battle where certain people are worried that the border between the real world and the wired one is being destroyee. She learns through the series that she's not who she has been led to believe.

👥 Characters & Dynamics

Well theres Lain who is an outcast of her classmates and family. She spends most of her time alone and even more so once she gets her new PC(like so many of us). Then there's Arisu who is Lain's only friend. She spends her time standing up for Lain to her other friends and trying to get Lain to experience life somewhat. Then the one you'll come to know as God, he's only a voice until the series starts to close and he never really makes any sense.

🎨 Animation & Visual Direction

Good animation throughout the series. The backgrounds were really worked on as well, not just putting a flat picture and concetrating directly on the characters themselves. It was nicely thought out and drawn.

🎵 Voice Acting & Soundtrack

Subs rocked. Not a whole lot more can be said from there. 98% of the subs any true anime fan comes across are gonna rock so same applies here.

🔴 What We Disliked: The only thing I found disappointing from this was it was too short. 13 episodes was enough to do the series and I fear if they would of pulled it out any longer it would of begun to become boring and strung out.
